is not recognized in california that there are six states including washington d.c. currently recognize same-sex marriages. iowa, new york, connecticut, massachusetts, vermont and new hampshire. they have already legalized gay marriage. maryland and washington have passed laws of this year legalizing same-sex marriages but they have not yet taken effect. it could face referendum's trying to block same-sex marriage. north carolina is a key state. the marriage was the legal and yesterday voters passed an amendment standing in the marriage essentially slinging the door on the possibility in that state's security the presidency in carolina this summer at the democratic convention in charlotte. >>pam: and other news, the man on trial for killing a san francisco father and his two sons is going to prison. and when ramos is an illegal immigrant and a member of the ms 13 gang.

>>pam: the city of milipitas is making major cuts to close a projected $9.2 million budget shortfall fees if more than 50 of police will lose their jobs fifth if park and street maintenance will be outsourced. the city council approved the new budget last night. the city manager said the cuts are unavoidable due to the loss of redevelopment money. negotiations between the san francisco school district and teachers union have fallen apart. in meeting was cut to take place this morning but district officials say the

two sides are at an impasse. at issue is a new two-year contract for the several thousand workers and the district. san francisco is facing an enormous multimillion-dollar shortfall. a state mediator is now stepping in to help restart a meeting between the two sides. >> san francisco school officials said that educating children is their first party but faced with a nearly $83 million deficit over the next two years, actions must be taken. >> blasting we want to do is cut our teachers. we did not create this mess but we have to live with it. >> the superintendent says they have presented a menu of options for the union to consider but after eight meetings they say they have gotten nowhere. >> they declare that there is an impasse.

girl to the hospital and said the doctors thought they would have to remove part of her leg. she underwent what surgery and that went well. now, it looks like her leg can be saved but she will have to undergo several more surgeries and months of physical therapy but it is believed she will be able to walk on two legs again. >> police say the driver who fled the scene was in a newer model pickup truck. >> an alleged burglary on a monday morning. a woman says she saw a man running down the street carrying to black backs. police were able to track down and arrest that

suspect. the next day on scarlet oaks court, a female resident came face-to-face with a guy holding a gun. he kicked her door and took off. police are looking for a white man, a 20-30 years old. at the time he was wearing a red cap with light-colored pants and a blow white structure. >>jaqueline: here is a live look outside from our roof camera. clear skies but it has been a little hazy. current visibility is reduced around the bay shores. reduced visibility in the north bay as well. we have not seen a storm comes through to clear up the air. as we headed to the overnight hours, the sea breeze winds will pick up once again.

after being let out, he ran a red light. welcome to cesar chavez street in san francisco just under construction. this area is an automatic double find sound and a double crazies' down if you ask some of the construction workers. for example at bryant street there is a no u-turn sign. it is ignored by numerous drivers. this double set of double yellow lines means do not cross. again, it is ignored. driver after driver after city workforce, we could do this all day. in fact, they did. the stop sign on this corner is apparently just a suggestion.
